remaja perlu didedah pada sejarah.. benar.. supaya tahu hujung pangkal satu peristiwa dan asas suatu bangsa.

Remaja perlu didedah agenda komunis: Bekas tentera

SEREMBAN: Beberapa bekas tentera yang pernah berjuang menentang pengganas komunis melahirkan rasa bimbang apabila ada remaja di negara ini yang menyokong dan tertarik dengan ideologi komunis tanpa menyedari risikonya.

Mereka berpendapat golongan remaja perlu diberi lebih banyak pendedahan mengenai apa yang berlaku di sekeliling mereka sebelum ada elemen luar yang mencuri peluang ini untuk meracuni pemikiran mereka yang masih mentah dengan ideologi itu.

Sarjan (B) Rosli Mohd Amin berkata, mereka harus diberitahu bahawa pengganas komunis meneruskan serangan mereka ke atas rakyat dan tentera walaupun negara sudah merdeka pada tahun 1957.

"Mereka (komunis) tidak mahu menerima hakikat. Mereka mahu negara merdeka mengikut acuan mereka. Remaja tidak tahu betapa hebat cabaran orang-orang Melayu meminta kemerdekaan," katanya.

Beliau ditemui pada perasmian Kempen Kibar Jalur Gemilang dan Tabung Rayuan Hari Pahlawan oleh Menteri Besar, Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan di sini hari ini.

Katanya, walaupun gerakan bersenjata komunis dapat ditewaskan melalui Perjanjian Bangkok, namun agenda untuk menyaksikan negara ini "merdeka" mengikut acuan orang lain masih lagi diteruskan oleh pihak tertentu.

Lans Koperal Alwi Ibrahim yang bersara pada tahun 1987 berkata, sebenarnya negara ini tidak banyak masalah tetapi telah diperbesar-besarkan oleh pihak tertentu untuk kepentingan agenda mereka.

"Sebenarnya negara ini tidak banyak masalah. Kita boleh usahakan apa sahaja yang kita hendak. Semiskin-miskin rakyat, masih ada televisyen di rumah mereka. Ada pula yang mengaku terhimpit dengan soal kehidupan tetapi mempunyai set Astro dan sebuah motosikal," katanya.

Beliau yakin demontrasi haram pada 9 Julai lalu yang banyak membabitkan penyertaan orang Melayu tidak mencerminkan sikap sebenar orang Melayu.

"Orang Melayu mudah dibeli dengan wang ringgit. Jika tidak diberi wang, mereka tidak akan turun untuk berdemontrasi yang bakal menyusahkan diri mereka," katanya.

Bekas Pegawai Waran 2, Abdul Rahim Md Nawi pula berasa syukur kerana anak lelakinya kini menakbur bakti dalam perkhidmatan tentera dan kini bertugas di Kor Jurutera dan Jentera Diraja di Kem Terendak, Melaka.

"Saya mengalakkan anak saya memasuki tentera. Saya suruh mereka menjadi tentera bukan kerana mahu mengejar kesenangan kerana askar tidak akan hidup mewah dan senang sebaliknya ia memberikan hala tuju untuk hidup," katanya.

Beliau yang kini memulakan perniagaan sendiri mengaku sering melihat bekas tentera yang amat memilih kerja selepas bersara dan kegagalan mereka dalam kehidupan sebagai orang awam menyebabkan mereka dengan mudah menunding jari kepada kerajaan.

"Saya hairan melihat masyarakat negara kita. Hampir semua perkara akan disalahkan kepada kerajaan.

"Keadaan ini akan menyebabkan elemen luar mudah meracuni pemikiran rakyat kalau mereka terus menyempitkan fikiran mereka dengan hal yang remeh temeh," katanya.
